My name is Nicole Lolkema-Seifert. I studied psychology and have experience of working as an HR consultant, and this means that I pay a great deal of attention to the human aspects of any business process. I very much enjoy looking into the subject matter of each assignment I work on in greater detail. I love meeting people and hearing what about what they do and are passionate about, and I feel completely at home in academic and international environments.
I derive a great deal of satisfaction from helping others to achieve their objectives. The practical and organisational skills of people who have creative and scientific strengths are often less well developed, and that is where I come in.
I very much enjoy using my organisational talents for the benefit of others. As part of my psychology degree, I completed a seven-month traineeship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Washington. I also lived in the United Kingdom for two years (in Cambridge, where my husband was elected to a fellowship). My English language skills are therefore very good, as is my knowledge of German. I am sensitive to my environment, am politically aware and bring a good, healthy sense of humour to my work.
In my free time I organise various activities for a local tennis club and this year I revived its open tournament. I also flagged up the importance of bringing in new members and was successful in securing the loyalty of current members. I help with organising political meetings at a local level and with communications for a regional political party executive.
